Eagle FM

Coach Skillcorn and I arrived at Eagle FM yesterday with very different feelings towards our interview with Chloe Musson, yet with one joined aim: to promote The Everyman Olympian Charity Day for The Judo Challenge.

I'm starting to enjoy these little talks with local papers and radio stations, so bring on the nationals!

After my first 8hr+ sleep in weeks I'm sat here with my running gear on, watching in awe as Londoners and folk from the World over cheer the runners on for the 2011 London Marathon.

Jetlagged Peddler

Here in Boston for work this week I'm suffering from what's medically known as desynchronosis a physiological condition caused alterations to my bodies circadian rhythms - in other words: I'm double jetlagged!

I've woken at 4am(ish) every morning since my arrival on Saturday and had little joy in getting back to sleep.

This morning was no different so after a few minutes rolling in bed and not being able to get off again, I headed to hotel gym...it was 4:45am.

New England for New Ribs?

Hi Y'all,

I'm currently plonked in my hotel room here in Boston, Massachusetts with an annoying dilemma:

My ribs are still recovering from being cracked one side some 5 or so weeks ago, and then on the other side 2 weeks ago - they seem to be taking forever to heal and to make matters worse I'm sliding back with my sporting plans all the while.

The dilemma I have is that while I can't really do any training on my stomach or back I actually feel OK everywhere else and want to get out and do some sport - is it possible for me to still go running? Or will this hamper my recovery? That is my dilemma!

Shooting: The North Wales Open & My 2nd Shooting Session

Coach Morris had invited me up to the North Wales Open to see how an Olympic shooting event would take place, I wasn't going to let a mere 200 miles get in the way...

The event was being held at the illustrious Ellesmere College Shropshire, a private school so grand it'd almost make the pupils of JK Rowling's self-imagined Hogwarts look standard.

Return of the Mat

Two weeks in Sri Lanka should have sorted me right out: I left with the usual feeling of work getting on top and had a busted rib or three from my first training session with Stuart (my opponent for The Judo Challenge).

But this is me folks - I have returned fully chilled and recharged but guess what? While I was away I managed to get another cracked rib!
